Starting to plan for 2008
Welcome!!! Things in the plant end of the nursery are nice and slow right now. I have started with a few cuttings of mint and rosemary. In the next few weeks I will continue with rosemary and a few other things that I have in the greenhouse as mother plants. I like this time of year in the production. It is relaxed and it is a lot of planning for next season. That is just my cup of tea. Planning involves sitting with a cup of tea and starting to pour over the new seed catalogs as they arrive and day dream. It is great to see all of the new things that the seed breeders come up with and all they new things that they find all over the globe. This year we are trying something new for our seed buying. On my website I have posted a form and I hope to start to getting input from our customers as to what kind of herb and veggie plants that they want us to grow. I have started to get the first few responses and it is great!! I can't wait to see what kind of requests we get. If you are looking for an heirloom tomato, special pepper or weird basil go to my website and let me know. We are also planning for our new greenhouse (our 3rd) and going to a additional market on Sundays. I will post pictures of the new greenhouse as we make progress.
